Marketing Manager
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving attendance and engagement across a portfolio of events and content to support the Meat Institute’s member engagement and revenue goals.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and execute marketing campaigns that drive attendance to Meat Institute events including webinars and other sponsored content.
- Manage graphic design development and identify target audiences for event marketing campaigns.
- Distribute event marketing e-mail campaigns via Higher Logic to promote upcoming events, drive registrations, and member engagement.
- Build and provide content and graphics to support resources including online registration, mobile apps, and other materials before and during events.
- Execute paid media campaigns on Meat Institute social media channels and other digital advertising and social sharing tools like Feathr and Snobal.
- Collaborate with communications team to integrate messaging, relevance and timeliness with association communication strategy and activities.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Create marketing materials that supports member recruitment
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in marketing.
- Demonstrated writing and editing skills,
- Demonstrated skills in event promotions.
- Association experience preferred.
- Travel, 20% of time.

Health insurance
The Meat Institute offers medical, dental, prescription and vision coverage to eligible employees and their dependents. Eligible employees may select from three CareFirst PPO medical plans, including one health reimbursement account (HRA) funded by the organization.
Flexible spending benefits
The Meat Institute offers Flexible Spending Accounts, which offset out-of-pocket medical and dependent care costs by allowing eligible participants to set aside pre-tax funds to pay for medical and childcare expenses.
Basic term life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance
The Meat Institute provides eligible employees group term life including accidental death and dismemberment insurance coverage equal to twice an employee’s base salary up to $550,000 plus an additional group term life benefit of $25,000.
Disability
The Meat Institute offers long-term disability benefits. These benefits pay a percentage of your earnings in the event of a disability. Retirement savings plan
The Meat Institute’s 401(k) plan allows eligible participants to save pre-tax dollars for retirement. Participants are immediately eligible to receive matching contributions from The Meat Institute.
Paid leave
The Meat Institute provides eligible employees paid vacation, sick benefits. Annual vacation leave is accrued each pay period and the accrual is determined by years of service. The Meat Institute also offers paid holidays.
