Dr. Yaroslav Chudnovsky, MBA is a Senior Technology Manager at the Industrial Efficiency and Decarbonization Office (IEDO). He leads research, development, and technology deployment activities with a focus on deep decarbonization of the Food and Beverage and Forest Products industrial subsectors. Dr. Chudnovsky has decades of basic and applied research, high-risk innovative development, and emerging technologies deployment experience in the areas of energy efficiency, industrial combustion, as well as advanced heat and water recovery across a wide spectrum of industries.

Prior to joining the U.S. Department of Energy, he spent over 25 years in different capacities at GTI Energy, a not-for-profit organization that develops and delivers impactful innovative solutions and transformational technologies for energy markets worldwide. Yaroslav received a Ph.D. in Thermal Sciences, M.S. in Cryogenic Engineering and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering - all from the Bauman Technical University. He is an ASME Fellow, recipient of multiple professional awards and author (co-author) of over 200 professional publications, including books, archival articles, conference proceedings, technical reports, and patents.
