The Meat Institute is engaged with policymakers every day. Whether it is meeting with members of Congress, congressional staff, or regulatory agencies, the Meat Institute is an outspoken advocate for meat and poultry packers and processors.
Meat Institute makes it easy for members to get involved with the legislative process. The Meat Institute can help members with meetings, plant tours and correspondence with members of Congress. Meat Institute staff and members provide testimony before key congressional committees and work with the federal agencies influencing policies that govern day to day business operations.
Through Meat Institute PAC, the political arm of the Meat Institute, meat and poultry businesses pool resources to help elect federal candidates who understand and support the industry.
