This training will outline how to proactively use alternative methods to control hazardous energy and keep team members safe. This training will outline the strategic differences between utilizing current state of the art alternative methods via ANSI Z244.1 standard on the control of hazardous energy and OSHA standards on Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). This training will give practical knowledge on how and when to employ LOTO and when Alternative Methods would be ideal. The training will discuss lessons learned in Design Safe's work through a variety of industries. Additionally, this training will look at how these concepts can apply to new equipment and production locations as well as legacy equipment and retrofitted applications.
